WOW! Children's Museum is seeking a Science Docent!
Do you enjoy working with children? Are you curious about science? We are looking to build a staff of volunteers to assist kids with simple, hands-on activities in the Science Kitchen and to interpret the new Blowing in the Wind Exhibit.
No science expertise is necessary. Our science coordinator will teach you how to do the experiments and field your questions. We especially need volunteers during our busy times, typically 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and on rainy days. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who lives near the museum and could stop by for a couple of hours at a time. For more information or to apply, please email us using the button above or leave a message for Heather or Nikki at 303-604-2424.
WOW! is seeking volunteers to read aloud to children, especially toddlers, at the Museum. We are looking for volunteers Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to read stories aloud during our toddler hour.
WOW! is also participating in Prentice Hall's Read for the Record. On September 20th at 11:00 a.m. we will be reading The Story of Ferdinand along with thousands of other readers across the nation. The more volunteers we have the more children we can reach. Bi-lingual Spanish readers are especially sought for this event. For more information about Read for the Record check out their website at www.readfortherecord.org.
