For field trips or large groups, private parties, or other special arrangements outside business hours please contact the museum.

We are located at 110 N. Harrison Ave., Lafayette, CO 80026, One block east of North Public Rd and one block south of Baseline.

  • Monday - CLOSED (except for Boulder Valley School District holidays off, then open 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
  • Tuesday - Wednesday: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
    * Toddler (5 and under) Hour: Tuesdays, Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
  • Thursday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12:00-4:00 p.m.; private parties from 4:30-6:30pm.

Please note that our summer business hours are changing. WOW! will be closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays this summer (June-August). In an effort to provide a positive experience for all visitors, Mondays will be reserved for large field trip groups that we can not accommodate during our regular business hours. Additionally, on Mondays, we will be working on volunteer projects as well as cleaning, repairing and installing exhibits. We look forward to your visit this summer!

Admission

  • Museum admission: $7.00 for children, 15 months to 11 years old.
  • Adults: FREE
  • Infants 14 months and under: FREE
  • Museum admission is an all day admission!
  • Guests of Museum members receive a discounted admission!
  • WOW! Children's Museum has a Scholarship Fund for admission assistance
    for children from families in need. Fund assistance is determined by
    association with accredited organizations such as Social Services, Head
    Start, Youth Service Initiative, Imagine!, and Boulder Housing Partners.
    Contact us at 303-604-2424 for more information. This Fund is supported by SCFD, Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, Wells Fargo, the April Fund, City of Lafayette, our annual fundraiser, and many families in our community.

Field Trip & Group Admission

Advanced reservation is required for all field trips and groups.

Groups are scheduled Wednesday through Friday. Group visits are scheduled for two hours. Please call the Museum at 303-604-2424 to reserve a time for your field trip or group, even if you are unsure of the final number of children coming. We do not book more than one group in the Museum at a time to insure the highest quality visit possible

  • $5.50 per child for groups of 10 to 25 children; adults are free
  • $5.00 per child for groups of 26-40 children; adults are free. WOW! cannot accommodate groups larger than 40 children in a single visit during business hours.
  • New for this summer... Monday scheduling for groups larger than 40 children contact the Museum for more information.
  • We require one adult for every 8 children attending. Adults are always free.

Gift Certificate

10-Pass Punch Card

Purchase gift certificates for Museum admission or family memberships! Gift Certificates may be purchased for any dollar amount.

 
Save on Museum admission! $60 for 10 visits to the Museum.


Licensed Day Care Memberships

  • Day care memberships are designed for home-based licensed daycares with 8 or less children.  These groups may buy a WOW! Licensed Day Care Membership for $35.00 and come in for $3.00 per child per visit for one year.
  • Home school groups may buy a 10-pass punch card for $60.00.

Coupons

  • Periodically, there are two for one or $1 or $2 off discount coupons in magazines, newspapers, and the Entertainment savings book. WOW! also distributes coupons at local festivals and town fairs.

Family Memberships

  • Annual Family Memberships: $65 for one child membership; $75 for two child membership; $85 for three child membership; $95 for four child membership.
  • Grandparent Membership: $100 for all the children in a grand parent's family. This is a great idea for extended families in the area and for families that visit frequently.
  • Museum Membership includes: unlimited admission to the Museum for a year, birthday party discounts, science class discounts and WOW! newsletter subscription. Guests visiting with museum members receive a discount on admission ($5.50/child).

Gift Shop

  • Educational sale items related to the Museum provided by Crawdaddy's Toys, a local toy store in Lafayette.
